March 9, 2022. Washington, D.C. – Continuing the success of the past two years, the Miss Earth USA pageant will return to Orlando in January for annual national activities in partnership with Rosen Hotels and the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida. An estimated 200 state and regional delegates will attend pageant activities hosted by the Rosen Centre Hotel from January 1-8, 2023.

Known as Beauties for a Cause®, Miss Earth® empowers women through community leadership, eco-tourism, and environmental education. Miss Earth is known as the planet’s most relevant beauty event, including nearly 100 countries each year attending international festivities based in the Philippines.

The reigning Miss Earth USA is Natalia Salmon of Pennsylvania, crowned on January 8 in Orlando. Age 22 and holding a college degree in Architecture, Natalia will attempt to follow in the footsteps of current 2021 Miss Earth Destiny Wagner of Belize and 2020 Miss Earth Lindsey Coffey, the only United States delegate to win the international title in the pageant’s history. This fall’s international pageant is recognized as one of the world’s most followed events, alongside rival beauty pageants Miss World and Miss Universe.

The next Miss Earth USA national pageant activities will begin shortly after the new year and conclude with the televised crowning of 2023 Miss Earth USA on January 7 at the Linda Chapin Theater. Additional events during the week include a charity gala, preliminary competitions, media events, the Junior Ambassador program, and the highly anticipated pageant finals of Teen Miss Earth USA and Mrs. USA Earth.

Recognized as a charitable organization with 501(C)(3) tax exempt status, the pageant’s nonprofit B4ACUSA Foundation provides scholarships and grants to participants. Each of the state delegates conducts environmental projects in her home state. While visiting Florida, the group participates in park cleanups, youth environmental education, recycling and other local efforts. Partnerships have also included local wildlife conservation groups and eco-tourism activities.

Depending on options available in her state, an applicant who is female and age 5 or older can apply to compete in a state preliminary competition or be considered for an appointed title. Miss Earth USA state pageants are held in over 20 regions including Texas, Georgia, Virginia, New York, Illinois, Nevada, Massachusetts and California.
