Miss Earth USA Beatrice Millan-Windorski was selected to participate in the most recent leadership training program by Climate Reality in New York City in April 2024.
Created in 2011 by US Vice President Al Gore, the Climate Reality Project has grown to be one of the most highly recognized worldwide nonprofit entities focused on climate change education and advocating for climate solutions. As of 2021, the organization said it operated 10 branches worldwide and was active in 170 countries.
"The training today reinforced the importance of collective action and grassroots organization in order to combat the climate crisis," said Millan-Windorski. "And most importantly, anyone can be a climate activist - you just have to act!"
Beatrice Millan-Windorski was named Miss Earth USA 2024 on December 31 and will represent the United States at the upcoming 24th Annual Miss Earth competition based in the Philippines. She is pursuing an honors degree in International Relations and History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Bea is dedicated to funding and raising awareness for climate refugees displaced due to climate related disasters.
