MISS EARTH USA HONORED BY HOMETOWN MAYOR AND STATE GOVERNOR





Danielle Mullins became an overnight celebrity in Kentucky when crowned Miss Earth USA





Danielle Mullins recently received accolades by her local mayor and state governor as the newest Kentucky celebrity and nonprofit ambassador.


On January 7, Danielle Mullins of Kentucky was crowned the 2023 Miss Earth USA during the annual national pageant in Orlando. Mullins is a 25 year old makeup artist and fashion stylist with a degree in Public Relations from Eastern Kentucky University. As Miss Earth USA, Mullins conducts environmental impact projects and serves as a mental health and empowerment role model for girls and women. She will represent the United States at the 23rd annual Miss Earth competition based in the Philippines.

During the weeks following the national crowning, Mullins appeared on several news media outlets throughout Kentucky. She immediately was recognized as one of the youngest shining stars of the state and her community of Louisville. National honors include a recent appearance on the cover of Art & Beauty Magazine in February and an upcoming invitation to serve as presenter during the Global Beauty Awards in April in Seattle.

In early March, Mullins was honored by Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg, declaring March 6 as Miss Earth USA Danielle Mullins Day. Mayor Greenberg met with Mullins during a ceremony hosted at Louisville Metro Hall. Prior to being crowned Miss Kentucky Earth 2023, Danielle held the local title of Miss Louisville.


A few days later, Mullins was honored to meet with Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, who bestowed upon her the highest title of honor in the state. Mullins is proud to have been commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel. Dating back to 1812, this title is extended due to an individual's noteworthy accomplishments and outstanding service to community, state, and nation. Notable Kentucky Colonels include Muhammad Ali, George Clooney and Dolly Parton.

Miss Earth is known as the planet’s most relevant beauty event, including nearly 100 countries each year attending international festivities, which will take place this year in Vietnam.


Recognized as a charitable organization with 501(C)(3) tax exempt status, the pageant’s nonprofit B4ACUSA Foundation provides scholarships and grants to participants. Each of the state delegates conducts home state environmental projects and brings awareness to local issues and organizations.
