In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the esteemed Miss Earth pageant, Miss Earth USA organizers announce a groundbreaking new format for the selection of its 2025 representative. The innovative approach promises to elevate the pageantry experience while reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

While the preliminaries will be staged on January 2-5, 2025 in Florida, the selection process will not end there. Up to 15 finalists will be transported to an on-location New York week-long challenge and television filming in Summer 2025. This challenge will not only test their poise, intelligence, and environmental awareness but will also provide them with invaluable opportunities for personal growth and empowerment.

"During this milestone 25th year, we are excited to tell the stories of our candidates and the history of the remarkable Miss Earth organization," said Laura Clark, National Director. "By embracing this fresh format, we will showcase each woman’s beauty, intelligence, and passion in a dynamic and engaging way."
Throughout their journey, finalists will experience dedicated media coverage, exclusive access to red carpet events, as well as sponsor gifts and endorsements. Challenges will feature sustainable businesses and causes while getting a closer look at how the finalists work together as a team and overcome obstacles. Their journey will be captured on camera, culminating in the creation of an original series titled "Pretty Down to Earth - The Road to Miss Earth 2025," which will be broadcast on the Queen Beauty Network (QBN).

"We are thrilled to partner with QBN to bring the excitement of Miss Earth USA to audiences worldwide," added Clark. "This series will not only entertain viewers but will also shed light on the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability."
The QBN television series will follow contestants during preliminaries and highlight finalists during the weeks leading up to the grand finale to be held in Summer 2025. The preliminary show and final coronation will be broadcast live on QBN. A celebrity selection committee will narrow the field to one young woman, crowning her as Miss Earth USA 2025. She will be sponsored to represent the United States at the 25th annual Miss Earth competition based in the Philippines.
In this new format, candidates in the United States participate in the national preliminary round by winning a licensed state pageant, being appointed to a state title, or directly entering the competition “at large” without a state title. The preliminary selection dates are January 2-5 in Orlando, Florida.

"Many exceptional women do not have the opportunity to secure a state title through traditional means. This year’s format change will welcome even more young women who embody the values of Miss Earth and are passionate about making a positive impact on our planet."

In 2001, Carousel Productions, led by Lorraine Schuck of the Philippines, created the first edition of Miss Earth and its mission “Beauties for a Cause” in support of environmental causes around the globe. Miss Earth is now recognized as one of the top four global pageant organizations. Each year, approximately 100 countries send a candidate to the Miss Earth stage. The current Miss Earth USA 2024 Beatrice Millan-Windorski, age 22 of Wisconsin, will compete at this year’s event in Asia.
